Filling the Baskets

Preface:

OHHHH! This is so kwueeLL!!! (Cool)

I am writing.

A blog! (now nodding with eyes wide open and taking deep breathes with a grin.)

On a blog site!! (Tongue out..Holding my breathe this time.)  That’s got my name on it! (Breathe out.) Wahahaha! X_X  Well, at least somewhere it got my name on it. So much for the temporary emotional outburst, every writer deserves one – sometimes...and only sometimes.

This isn’t really my first shot at writing.  But this is my first shot at starting a dedicated undertaking of documenting my expedition.  I say first because I have seen many who have stumbled along this path, some paused, and some stopped.

My first barrier that many often find disheartening is – what else will I be writing about next?   I have foreseen an obstacle right when I was about to begin.  And so I shall start with it.

I remember of one man, among about 5000, who in a gesture and a few words gave thanks for something so little as two pieces fishes and five slices of bread.   With this done, all of them 5000 men excluding from the count their wives and children, had their fill.  Not only that, when this man’s friends took liberty of gathering what remained of the bread crumbs, and amazingly they packed 12 wicker baskets full.

Miracle?   I say it is.  But the greater mystery there left in this story is that this magic, is repeatable.  Let’s have a closer look.

It was more that simply sharing as we all share through blogs, texts, twits, and vocally.  And yet never in our day did we gather left over crumbs.  Often times, we were left with emptiness.  The special secret before the sharing part was the component of thanksgiving.  And note there, this wise man, gave thanks to what seemed so little and using it to invoke something so grand.  Similarly, when we share our little stories of victory over our little trials (being able to wake up at 6am as planned, stopping on the first hour of facebook Similarly, when we share our little stories of victory over our little trials (being able to wake up at 6am as planned, stopping on the first hour of facebook), we end up, giving our pieces of crumbs to the basket..and together, we will fill it, 12 wicker baskets full.
